Chuck was a lifelong friend, generous husband, and devoted father. His humor, his compassion, and his sparkling eyes made our lives richer. Chad had the privilege of over 50 years of friendship, and we had over 30 years of friendship as couples and young families. We will cherish all memories of the birthday parties, OSU games, vacations, concerts, dinners, graduations, and holiday celebrations. Our families were intertwined in so many ways. We laughed together, and we cried together. Even though our hearts are broken; Chad and I know without a shadow of a doubt, Chuck is in heaven. We WILL see him again one day. "We do not grieve or mourn as those who have no hope." (I Thess. 4:13, b)

Chuck was a great neighbor for many years and we have missed him since he moved away. He always had a smile even when life was hard and a great story to tell. I know how much he loved you Lindsay and Erin and my heart goes out to you both. You were very special to him. My sympathy and prayers for comfort are with you.

Katie, Lindsey and Erin, We are so sorry to hear the about the passing of Chuck and wish to express our condolences. Chuck was a good man and a great manager he will be missed by all of us here at work. He was always a fighter and had a never give up attitude. That is one thing I will always remember him for. I was Blessed with meeting Chuck 17 years ago along with numerous other Simpson Family members. He was a wonderful teacher and a great mentor who encouraged me to grow professionally. My most sincere condolences. Chuck was a special light that drove out the darkness in a dimming world. Every conversation was the brightest moment of that day. He was a dear friend to me and all who were lucky enough to have regular interaction with him. He will be missed by many, but especially by all us with whom he shared his wisdom and wit.

My prayers and thoughts are with you all today and forever. Chuck's humor, story telling, tenacity for life and his job and his love for the Buckeyes and Packers will be missed dearly. In the game of life, we can get dealt some bad cards-it's how we play them that let's people know our demeanor. Chuck wasn't about to let this get him, God just decided that he needed him more. I've had the pleasure of knowing and working with Chuck for over ten years. He's always been a bright spot at Simpson Strong-Tie and will certainly be missed. Prayers to the Helge family. RIP Chuck.
