Marilyn A. Siders

Marilyn A. Siders, age 83, of Upper Sandusky, Ohio, passed away on Wednesday, June 22, 2016 at 5:40am at the Wyandot County Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Upper Sandusky.

Marilyn was born on December 5, 1932 in Oak Hill, Ohio, to Wilbur and Stella (Jenkins) Howell, both of whom are deceased.  She married James R. Siders on September 29, 1951 in Oak Hill, Ohio, and he passed away on October 27, 2011.

She is survived by a son Steve (Lisa) Siders of Delaware, Ohio and a daughter, Julie (E.Wayne) Byrum of Canton, Michigan, five grandchildren, Joanna Withrow, Jared Withrow, Jansen Withrow, Andrew Siders and Clayton Siders, two great grandchildren, Jewell Withrow and Makaya Fyock.

Marilyn is also survived by two brothers, Wilbur “Bud” (Joyce) Howell of Egg Harbor, New Jersey, Stan (Brenda) Howell of Wharton, Ohio, and a sister, Shirley (Denzil) Conley of Johnstown, Ohio.

Marilyn was a homemaker and had worked for the Beavercreek School System in Beavercreek, Ohio and East Middle School in Plymouth, Michigan, in the food service department at both schools.  She also worked as a sales clerk for a Boutique in Plymouth, and was a Avon Lady consultant in her younger years.

Marilyn was a member of Trinity Evangelical United Methodist Church in Upper Sandusky, where she was active in the choir, and also held bible studies in her home.

She was also a 1950 graduate of Oak Hill High School and went on to attend Awassa Bible College.

Marilyn enjoyed playing the piano and singing, cooking, reading, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Funeral services for Marilyn Siders will be held at 1:30pm Saturday, June 25, 2016 at Trinity Evangelical United Methodist Church in Upper Sandusky, with Rev. Jim Stauffer officiating. Burial will take place at Old Mission Cemetery.

Visitations will be held on Friday from 5:00pm to 8:00pm at the Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky and 1 hour before service time on Saturday at the church.
