Sandra L. Kotterman, age 76, of Upper Sandusky, Ohio, passed away on Sunday, October 22, 2017 at 6:30pm at the Wyandot Memorial Hospital, Upper Sandusky.
Sandy was born on February 18, 1941 in Flora, Illinois, to Amel “Jack” and Genelle (Levitt) Green, both of whom are deceased. She married Paul Kotterman on March 11, 1967, at the Evangelical United Brethren church in Upper Sandusky, and he survives.
She is survived by a daughter, Amy L. Kotterman of Lewis Center, Ohio, and a son, Andrew P. Kotterman of Upper Sandusky, along with 2 grandchildren, James and Josephine Kotterman.
Sandy is also survived by 2 brothers, James (Marie) Green of Tucson, Arizona, and Daniel (Jan) Green of Chillicothe, Ohio, as well as, many nieces and nephews.
She was a homemaker and a longtime member of Emanuel United Church of Christ, where she previously directed the women’s choir, taught Sunday School and participated with Vacation Bible School. She also was past president of the Women’s Guild of the church.
She was a 1959 graduate of Upper Sandusky High School and went on to graduate from the Columbus Business College. She previously worked as an administrative assistant for Marathon Oil Company and General Telephone. She had fond memories of working at a dude ranch in Colorado Springs, Colorado one summer as well.
Sandy enjoyed attending both boys’ and girls’ basketball games at Upper Sandusky High School, and following the OSU Buckeyes. She loved music, enjoyed reading, watching old movies, singing, shopping, and going out to lunch with her friends.
She will be remembered first and foremost for her love and devotion to her husband, children, and her grandchildren.
Funeral services for Sandy Kotterman will be held at 11:00am Thursday, October 26, at the Lucas-Batton Funeral Home, Upper Sandusky, with Pastor Jay Scott officiating. Burial will take place at Old Mission Cemetery.
Visitations will be held on Wednesday, from 2:00pm to 4:00pm and 6:00pm to 8:00pm, at the Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky, and 1 hour before service time on Thursday at the funeral home.
