My family lived across the street from Mrs. Dannenhauer and then Deb Pinion for several years in Upper. I had the pleasure of meeting Jane when she arranged for a tour group of 4-H members from around the state of Ohio to participate on the south lawn of the White House for the arrival of the Amir of Bahrain during the Reagan Administration. I was a chaperone and knew that Jane and Rita worked for the Administration, and Mrs. Dannenhauer got me in contact with Jane. What a classy lady. Imagine making these arrangements at a time with no cell phones. We met Jane at the agreed upon time, and she escorted us onto the south lawn where we saw the presentation of all armed forces and then President Reagan making the official welcome on the south portical.
