Sara M. Dardinger, age 95, of Upper Sandusky, Ohio, passed away on Saturday, January 2, 2021, at 12:27 pm at the Wyandot County Skilled Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Upper Sandusky.
She was born on October 1, 1925, in Vian, Oklahoma to James C. and Mirtie Mae (Johnson) Ross. She married John Dardinger on December 1, 1945, and he passed away on January 21, 2004.
She is survived by her 3 children, Michael J. (Mary) Dardinger of Marion, Belinda (Wendell) Guinther of Caledonia, Kathy Lumpkins of Upper Sandusky. Six grandchildren, Mike Dardinger Jr., John Ross Dardinger, Amy Dardinger Austin-Kinler, Kyle Lumpkins, Adam Lumpkins, and Jason Lumpkins-Bercaw, 7 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren, along with a sister, Nila Keck of Vian, Oklahoma
She was proceeded in death by her parents, husband, and 14 brothers and sisters.
She was an active member of Grand Prairie Baptist Church, the CIS class and the Christian Service Circle. She was active in her church choir. She enjoyed baking, cooking, and making quilts for her children and grandchildren, as well as making lap quilts for nursing homes. She loved to sing. She would sing around the house while doing daily chores and working on activities. She loved to watch game shows and doing word search puzzles.
A private graveside service for Sara M. Dardinger will be held on at Oak Hill Cemetery, Upper Sandusky.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Grand Prairie Baptist Church and can be sent to Lucas-Batton Funeral Home, 476 S. Sandusky Ave. Upper Sandusky, Ohio 43351.
