Randy A. Hurst

Randy A. Hurst, age 43, of Upper Sandusky, passed away at home on Sunday, September 17, 2023.

Randy was born on April 27, 1980, in Bucyrus, Ohio, to Ray G. and Carlon (Stone) Hurst and they preceded him in death. He was married to Sabrina Shulaw and she survives in Nevada.

Randy is survived by his 3 children: Christopher (MiKayla) Hurst of Upper Sandusky, Ally Hurst of Nevada, and Randy Hurst of Nevada.  Randy is also survived by his siblings: Tony (Kim) Stapleton of Blanchester, Patricia Stone of Bucyrus, Lynda (Doug) Cole of Bucyrus, Mike Hurst of Nevada, Ginny Cole of Nevada, Tim Hurst of Bucyrus, Missy (Shawn Green) King of Bucyrus, Rodney Hurst of Nevada, Tina (Justin) Hurst of Delaware, and Lacey Massey of Nevada.

Randy was preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers: Kenneth, Glenn and Lynn Hurst, his sister Rebecca Smith, and his brother in law Tom Cole.

Randy graduated from Wynford High School in 1998 and worked at Tod Co. for several years.

For hobbies, Randy enjoyed going hunting, fishing, mushroom hunting, and arrowhead hunting. He always loved spending time with his family.

A graveside service will be held at 3:30 PM on Tuesday, September 26, 2023, at Nevada Cemetery, and will be officiated by Rev. Carl Angel.

Visitations will be held from 1:00 – 3:00 PM on Tuesday, at Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky, prior to the graveside service.
