Phillip L. Beidelschies, age 69, of Upper Sandusky, Ohio, passed away on Thursday, February 17, 2022, at Doctor’s Hospital in Columbus.
Phil was born on January 26, 1953, in Upper Sandusky to Allen L. and Colene E. (Traucht) Beidelschies, both of whom are deceased. He married Charlene Stewart on June 16, 1974, at the St. Paul Lutheran Church in Upper Sandusky and she survives.
He is also survived by his children, Diana (Carl) Craft of Upper Sandusky, Teresa Roth of Elkhart, Indiana, Lee Lawrence of Kenton, Anne Beidelschies of Blakeslee, Pennsylvania, Aaron (Kelly) Beidelschies of Upper Sandusky, and Wade Beidelschies of Kenton. 15 grandchildren, Ethan, Kobe, Conner and Addie Beidelschies, Dakota Acord, Joan, Abit and Amie Roth, Andrew, Sam and Jacob Taylor, Robert Lawrence, and Viviana, Elena and Beto Hernandez, along with 3 great grandchildren, Ana, Liam and Jay Roth.
Phil also has 3 siblings, Paul (Kathy) Beidelschies of Arlington, Beth (David) Smith of Upper Sandusky, and Gene (Tammy) Beidelschies of Forest.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and a daughter, Ruth Ann Beidelschies.
Phil was a 1971 graduate of Upper Sandusky High School and went on to work for many years in local banking having first worked for First Citizens National Bank and then from Community First Bank of Upper Sandusky.
He was a member of John Stewart United Methodist Church, where he served on the finance committee. He was also a member of the Upper Sandusky Rotary Club, Gideon’s International, and also a volunteer for Red Cross.
For hobbies he enjoyed working around the house, and doing various home improvement projects.
Funeral services for Phillip L. Beidelschies will be held at 11:00am Tuesday, February 22, 2022, at the Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky with Rev. Doug Pummel officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery.
Visitations will be on Monday, February 21, from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at the Lucas-Batton Funeral Home.
