N. Todd Heil

N. Todd Heil, age 56, passed away at 6:15 PM on Saturday, September 25, 2021, at the Firelands Regional Medical Center in Sandusky, Ohio.

Todd Heil was born in Tiffin, on September 27, 1964 to Nicholas A. and Levone (Schwab) Heil, and they preceded him in death.  Todd married Heather (Nelson) on October 21, 2000, and she survives.

He is survived by 5 children, Nathan Heil of Tiffin, Ashley Heil of Harpster, Erica (Justin Lowery) Heil of Toledo, CJ (Chantel) Smith of Ada, and Avery Heil of Forest.  3 grandchildren, Nicholas, Aubrey and Rosemary Heil, along with many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a brother Steve Heil and a sister Rebecca (Heil) Stetzy.

Todd graduated from Tiffin Columbian class of 1983 and joined the U.S. Army and was stationed in Germany and Fort Dix in New Jersey as Military Police from 1984 – 1990.

Todd worked for 24 years for the Upper Sandusky Police Department until he retired in 2015.  His hobbies were hunting, fishing and working on guns. 

A funeral service for Todd Heil will be held at 11:00AM on Friday, October 1, 2021, at Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky, and will be officiated by Rev. Jim Stauffer and Steve Sturgeon.

Visitations for Todd will be held from 5:00 – 8:00PM on Thursday, September 30, 2021, at the funeral home, and one hour prior to the service beginning on Friday.

Memorial contributions for Todd Heil may be made to the Upper Sandusky Police Department – Trick or Treat Fund or the K9 Fund, Firelands Regional Medical Center Oncology Department, or the Ohio Department of Natural Resources and can be sent to Lucas-Batton at 476 S. Sandusky Ave. Upper Sandusky, OH 43351.
