Mary J. Pelfrey, age 67, of Upper Sandusky, Ohio, passed away with her loved ones by her side on January 31, 2022.
Mary was born on April 21, 1954, in Galion, Ohio, to James and Mary (Stewart) Rawlins. She married Dennis Pelfrey on March 14, 1976, and he survives in Upper Sandusky.
She is survived by her 4 children, Johnathan (Emma) Pelfrey of St. Paris, Ohio, Courtney Pelfrey of Upper Sandusky, Veronica (Skyler) Hapner of Upper Sandusky, and Maryann (Jared) Randolph of Upper Sandusky. Along with 7 grandchildren, James, Jeremiah and Jacob Pelfrey, Olivia Hapner, Kiarie and Malaya Williams, and Zaria Randolph.
Mary is also survived by her brother, James (Paula) Rawlins of Salem, Oregon, sisters, Diane (Larry) Young of Bucyrus, and Pamela (Earl) Butler of Oceola.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and a sister, Patricia Lohr.
Mary was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses.
She enjoyed sharing with others her faith, and the promise of a better world found in the Bible. (Revelation 21:4)
In her free time, she loved planting flowers around the house, watching the birds, and spending time together with her family. She also dearly loved her little poodle, Jackie.
Mary will be dearly missed by her family and so many wonderful friends, but we know we will see her again soon. (John 5:28,29)
A memorial service for Mary J. Pelfrey will be private.
