Lois Jean Kraus

Lois Jean Kraus, age 89, of Upper Sandusky, Ohio, passed away on Tuesday, September 27, 2022 at 5:13 pm at her home in Upper Sandusky.

Jean was born on December 6, 1933 in Mt. Victory, Ohio to Charles and Edith (Rockhold) Patrick, both of whom are deceased.  She married James F. Kraus on November 5, 1949,  and he survives.

She is survived by her 2 sons, Mike (Shari) Kraus and Rick (Rinda) Kraus, both of Upper Sandusky.  4 grandchildren, Darcy (Scott) Washburn of Upper Sandusky, Damon (Jennie) Kraus of Granville, Jason (Sarah) Kraus of Port Clinton, and Jared (Jamie) Kraus of Upper Sandusky, along with 9 great grandchildren, Isaiah and Cory Washburn, Avery, Rylie, Greer, Ashlyn, Emie, Lleyton, and Rowen Kraus.

Jean is survived by her brothers, Douglas (Linda) Patrick, Gary (Mary) Patrick, Kenny (Sadie) Patrick, a sister, Sharon (Ron) Scheeler.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and her siblings, Elbert Earl, Mary Lou, Martha Pearl, Robert Lee, Charles Levi, John Dewey, and Donald Joe.

She was a homemaker and also worked at the former Artz Department Store in Upper Sandusky.  Lois also was a seamstress which she did out of her home.

Jean enjoyed playing cards, and was a member of the former 313 Card Club in Upper Sandusky. She also enjoyed traveling with Jim, having traveled throughout the states, including Hawaii and Alaska, and also Europe.

Funeral Services for Lois Jean  Kraus will be private.
