Joyce Marie Chandler Lorenz

Joyce Marie Chandler Lorenz, 92, of Annapolis, MD and formerly of Columbus, OH, Memphis, TN, and Catonsville, MD died October 20, 2021, at her home.

Born June 15, 1929, in Marseilles Township, Wyandot County, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Vivian Swinehart Chandler and Horace Latham Chandler. Joyce graduated from Marseilles High School in 1947. She continued her education by graduating from Bliss Business College and the University of Memphis. She worked as an Interior Designer in Memphis TN. In 1994 she and Bill moved to Annapolis MD to be close to their grandchildren.

Joyce Chandler married William Aaron Lorenz in 1951. He preceded her in death in 2008. Surviving her are a daughter, Karen Lorenz and grandson Alexander Karos of Annapolis and Nicholas Karos and his wife Shelby Lawson of Champaign IL. She leaves behind her brother Eugene Chandler of Upper Sandusky OH, 13 nieces and nephews and their nine children

Joyce and Bill Lorenz were active members of Eastport United Methodist Church. Joyce was an active volunteer at Eastport Elementary, Annapolis Middle School and Bay Woods of Annapolis where she lived until her death. She had a passion for gardening, bridge, and genealogy.

A memorial service for Joyce Lorenz will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, November 20, 2021, at Marseilles United Methodist Church in Marseilles, Ohio, and will be officiated by Pastor Doug Pummel, and Pastor Elaine Clinger-Sturtz. Burial will follow at Chandler Cemetery.

Visitations for Joyce will be held one hour prior to the service at the church from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM.
