John W. Rostash, age 72, of Nevada, Ohio, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, October 14, 2023, at 10:08 a.m. at the Wyandot Memorial Hospital in Upper Sandusky.
John was born on July 2, 1951, in Perry County, Ohio, to John W. “Hank” and Betty Lou (Gohring) Rostash, both of whom are deceased. He married Kathi Parrett on February 2, 1991, and she survives.
Survived by sons, Jason (Donna) Spaide of St. Louis, Missouri, John S. Rostash of Bucyrus, and a daughter, Delisa (Chad) Rauch of Miamisburg, Ohio, along with a brother, Jack (Donna) Gohring of Marion.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother William, and a sister, Norma Jean Rostash.
John retired after 30 years with the City of Bucyrus, having served in maintenance, electrical, and streets.
He was a member of the US Nazarene Church in Upper Sandusky and obtained his Chaplain Certificate through a bible college.
For hobbies, John enjoyed riding his motorcycle, watching the Browns and Buckeyes, and taking care of his cats.
John will be remembered for his love for his Lord, and his willingness to serve Him in all that he did.
Funeral services for John W. Rostash will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, October 19, 2023, at the Lucas Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky with Rev. Ray LaSalle and Rev. Steve Anstine officiating. Burial will follow at Nevada Cemetery.
Visitations will be held 2 hours before service time, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Lucas Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky.
