Jane Goodman, age 64, of rural Nevada, Ohio, passed away on Friday, July 28, 2023 at 7:37am at her home in Nevada.
Jane was born on February 22, 1959, in Oak Hill, Ohio, to Estel and Mary Ethel (Rhoden) Hall, both of whom are deceased. She married Tim Goodman on October 29, 1988 at the Sycamore United Church of Christ, and he survives.
She is survived by her children: Valerie Goodman of Fostoria, Brittany (Charles) Kelbley of New Riegel, and Chelsea (Seth) Mabry of Nevada. Seven grandchildren: Mason, Timothy, Catherine, Fulton, Robert, Atlas, and Rhea.
Jane is also survived by a brother, Roy Hall, of Columbus; and sisters: Faye Jackson of Sycamore, Anna Daniels of Jackson, Evelene Wooten of Jackson, Irene (Jeff) Smith of Marion, and Helen McCain of Oak Hill. Along with a sister in law, Rose Hall of Oak Hill
She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers: Gene and Delbert Hall, a sister Betty Hall, and a brother in law, Curtis Jackson.
Jane was a 1977 graduate of Mohawk High School She retired from Guardian Industries after 31 years, having worked in the white room for many years.
She was an active member of Trinity Evangelical Church in Upper Sandusky, where she took part in the Monday Night Ladies Bible Study.
For hobbies, Jane enjoyed having her garage and barn sales at her home. She also enjoyed using her gift of a “green thumb” by raising beautiful flowers around her property. She also was in love with her “kitty’s”, Geronimo, and King Louie.
She will be remembered as a woman of faith who loved her husband, daughters, grandkids, and siblings deeply; along with her church family. She will never be forgotten.
Funeral services for Jane Goodman will be held at 2:00pm Tuesday, August 1, 2023, at the Trinity Evangelical Church in Upper Sandusky with Pastors Jim Stauffer and Steve Sturgeon officiating. Burial will follow at Nevada Cemetery.
Visitations will be held on Monday, July 31, from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at Lucas Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky, and 1 hour before service time at the church on Tuesday.
