Dean L. Gibson

Dean L. Gibson, age 54, of Columbus, and formerly of Upper Sandusky, passed away on July 31, 2023, in Columbus, Ohio.

Dean was born on July 31, 1969, in Upper Sandusky, Ohio, to Glenn and Nancy (Hayes) Gibson, both of whom are deceased.  He was once married to Cami Chevalier on March 21, 1992, and she survives in Fairborn, Ohio. 

He is survived by 2 children: Trenton Gibson of Columbus, Caryn Gibson of Dayton, and a grandson, Benjamin Kidd, along with a brother, Duane (Kelly) Gibson of Upper Sandusky, and a sister Diane (Chip) Conley of Carey.

Dean was preceded in death by his parents, and a sister Dorraine Gibson.

He graduated from Upper Sandusky High School in 1987 and went on to join the US Army, having served during Desert Storm and retiring from the service as a Master Sergeant. 

A graveside service for Dean Gibson will be held at 2:30 pm, Friday, August 18, 2023, at Old Mission Cemetery, Upper Sandusky, with Pastor Steve Sturgeon officiating, with military gravesite rites which will be conducted by the Upper Sandusky Color Guard. 

Visitations will be held on Friday, August 18, from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm at Lucas Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky.
