David C. Plott, age 68, of rural Nevada, and formerly of Upper Sandusky, passed away on Wednesday, April 8, 2020 at Marion General Hospital, Marion Ohio.
David was born on August 30, 1951 in Upper Sandusky, Ohio to Forest and Stachia “Peggy” (Blankenship) Plott, both of whom are deceased. He married Karen Strausbaugh on July 14, 1988 in Upper Sandusky, and she survives.
He is also survived by 2 children: Alexandra Plott of Upper Sandusky, and Sam (Jackie Gabriel) Plott of Bucyrus. A brother Darrel (Tantris) Plott of Bucyrus also survives.
David was preceded in death by a brother James and 2 sisters, Shirley E. Brown and Helen Taylor.
David was a 1969 graduate of Upper Sandusky High School and went on to receive his Bachelor’s Degree in Education. He then obtained his Juris Doctor Degree and practiced law for a time and then went back to education as a guidance counselor with the Ashland City Schools.
He was an avid reader and loved all of the Cleveland sports teams, from the Indians, Browns, Cav’s and also the Ohio State Buckeyes. He also enjoyed following his children’s sports careers, and spending time with family, especially during vacations.
Funeral services for David C. Plott will be private with burial at Old Mission Cemetery in Upper Sandusky, with Steve Sturgeon officiating.
