Daniel H. Frey, age 60, of Upper Sandusky, Ohio, passed away on August 13, 2020 at the OSU Wexner Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio.
Dan was born in Deer Lodge, Montana, to Glen and Mildred L. “Millie” (Bridge) Frey.
He was survived by his three sons; Phillip, Alan, and Matthew Frey, his three grandchildren; Myra, Tyler, and Cameron, his brother Tom Frey of Wyandot, and his two sisters; Sue Stander of Bucyrus, and Patty (Dave) Mowery of Upper Sandusky.
Dan was preceded in death by his parents, infant brother Eric Randall Frey, his brother in law Randy Stander, sister in law Dianna Frey, and his nephew Nick Frey, and Leonard Beekman, Millie’s companion and a special family friend.
He worked as a greens keeper at Hickory Grove Golf Club and also farmed for Bowman Farms. He was a skilled carpenter, taught and followed in his Dad’s footsteps building and remodeling numerous homes and businesses.
Dan was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting, fishing, mushroom and arrowhead hunting, and camping. He also enjoyed watching NASCAR, especially Kevin Harvick. He enjoyed competing in Dart League at the Boxcar and the Rosebud in Upper Sandusky, and was a member of Carey Conservation, and a director of Still Shoot.
Services for Daniel Frey will be private.
