Connie L. Cooper, age 73, of Upper Sandusky, Ohio, passed away on Friday, December 20, 2019 at 8:41pm at the home of her son in Columbus, Ohio.
Connie was born on August 21, 1946 in Bucyrus, Ohio, to Harold P. “Pete” and Mary Louise “Susy” (Pool) Snyder, both of whom are deceased.
She is survived by her brother, Wayne Snyder, and children, Brent Sours, Melodie (Jeremy) Padgett, Nanette (Joe) Rinehart, Nathan (Stacey) Sours, Ashley Cooper, and Lacey Cooper.
Connie was a licensed practical nurse and had served in nursing at the Wyandot Manor and the Wyandot County Nursing Home.
She was a 1964 graduate of Upper Sandusky High School and went on to pursue her nursing degree at Tri-Rivers Vocational School in Marion, OH.
Connie was a strong advocate for early childhood development programs, serving on the HHWP Community Action Commission Board of Directors for more than 20 years, and held the role of Board Chair from 2015-2018. She enjoyed crocheting, for which she won several ribbons at the Wyandot County Fair, sewing, quilting, and solving jig-saw puzzles.
A memorial service for Connie L. Cooper will be held at 1:00pm Saturday, January 11, 2020 at the Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky with Rev. Jacob Reel officiating.
The family will receive friends 1 hour before service time on Saturday, January 11, at the Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky.
