Carol A. Jacobs

Carol A. Jacobs, age 88, of Nevada, Ohio, passed on Sunday, February 20, 2022, at Orchard Park Assisted Living in Bucyrus, Ohio.

Carol was born in Nevada, Ohio, on July 12, 1933, to Robert and Jane (Ulvinen) Jacobs and they preceded her in death.

Carol is survived by two nephews: Steven (Marilyn) Dabney of Mt. Gilead, Ohio, and Robert Michael Dabney of Sterling Heights, Michigan, and her lifelong friend, Sue Harley of Nevada.

Carol was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Norma Jean Dabney, her niece Pamela Dabney, and her brother in law Earl Dabney.

Prior to her retirement at the age of 62, Carol had worked at the Farmers Citizen Bank since her high school graduation. She was employed as a teller which exemplified her commitment as a people-oriented person. Carol was a lifelong member of Nevada United Methodist Church, and she enjoyed listing to music, watching TV, movies, and shopping. She also loved to travel, especially to Hawaii and the New England States. She enjoyed all things history and was an enthusiastic visitor to all of the local historical sights. Carol especially loved spending time with her family and friends.

A funeral service for Carol Jacobs will be held at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, March 1, 2022, at Nevada United Methodist Church in Nevada, Ohio, and will be officiated by Rev. David Smithey. Burial will follow at Nevada Cemetery.

Visitations for Carol will be held on Tuesday, from 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm at the church prior to the service.
