Betty Kay Ward, age 75, of Sycamore, Ohio, passed away on January 3, 2022, at Wyandot Memorial Hospital in Upper Sandusky.
Betty was born in Wyandot County, on October 10, 1946, to William Wilson and Joyce J. (Bedore) Moore and they preceded her in death. She was once married to Harrison Stanley and then married Donald L. Ward on July 4, 1999, and he preceded her in death on October 28, 2019.
Betty is survived by her son Terry (Penny) Stanley of Sycamore, daughter Joyce Thompson of Findlay, along with 8 grandchildren, and 9 great grandchildren. Betty is also survived by her 2 brothers: Robert “Nick” Ruby of Malvern, PA, and Wilson “Jack” Moore of Upper Sandusky.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents, husband Donald, 6 sisters: Alice Burks, Helen Robertson, Shirley Smith, Carolyn Leeth, Edna Jean Boyer, and Martha “Betty” Shinkle, and her brother William Ruby Jr.
Betty enjoyed making crafts, painting, watching Hallmark movies, and watching QVC, HSN and JTV. Betty was a very giving person and would always give people a second chance.
A funeral service for Betty Kay Ward will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, January 8, 2022, at Lucas-Batton Funeral Home with Chaplain Steve Sturgeon officiating. Burial will follow at Pleasant View Cemetery in Sycamore, Ohio.
A visitations for Betty Kay Ward will be held from 4:00 – 8:00 pm on Friday, at the funeral home.
