Barbara A. Pagnard, age 85, of Upper Sandusky, passed away at 11:11 p.m. on Wednesday, February 2, 2022, at Westbrook Assisted Living & Memory Care in Upper Sandusky.
Barbara, born February 16, 1936, was the daughter of Ethel and Arthur Hehr, both of whom are deceased. She married Allen Pagnard on June 27, 1954 at the Trinity United Church of Christ in Upper Sandusky.
Barb is survived by a son: Tom (Pam) Pagnard of Upper Sandusky, two daughters: Alison (John) Tracy of Leawood, Kansas, and Alicia (Richard) Sprau of Powell, Ohio. Four grandchildren: Kathryn (Mitchell) Rall, Julia (Jason) Lemire, Eric (Danielle) Pagnard, and Ashley Sprau. Nine great-grandchildren: Alex Lind, Connor Rall, Grant Lemire, Samuel Lemire, Everett Lemire, Genevieve Lemire, Madilyn Pagnard, Lillian Pagnard, and Olivia Pagnard. Two step-grandchildren, Angie (Tim) Harr and Tricia (Bret) Hannam, and two step great-grandchildren, Reese and Brady Hannam. Barb is also survived by a brother-in-law, Bob Zimmerman, Nevada, Ohio.
Barb was a 1954 graduate of Upper Sandusky High School. In addition to raising her family, Barb spent 36 years working at the Municipal Court in Upper Sandusky, serving 15 of those years as Deputy Clerk, and 21 years as Clerk of the Municipal Court. Barb was a member of the Ohio Association of Municipal Court Clerks and served as President of the association before retiring on February 28, 2006.
Barb was a member for over 60 years of Trinity United Church of Christ in Upper Sandusky, Ohio. She was active in singing in the choir, teaching Sunday School, junior choir director, and participating in many banquets and special programs through the years at the church. For hobbies Barb enjoyed crafts, sewing, and spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A funeral service for Barbara Pagnard will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 9, 2022, at Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky, and will be officiated by Rev. Brad McKibben. Burial will follow at Old Mission Cemetery.
Visitations will be held Tuesday, February 8, 2022, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky.
