Ann Celeste Bils, age 80, of Harpster, Ohio, passed away on Thursday, February 11, 2021 at 9:55pm at her home.
Ann was born on March 11, 1940, in Upper Sandusky, Ohio, and was the daughter of the late Paul E. and Genevieve (Wiest) Rowse. On April 30, 1960, she married Robert L. Beard, and he died on October 4, 1980. She later married Henry A. Bils on February 27, 1988, and he survives.
She is survived by four children, Bryan (Shari) Beard, of Delaware, Ohio, Amy (Bryan) Tucker, of Lake in the Hills, Illinois, Laura (Craig) Troxel of Harpster, and Susan (Kelly) Best, Arlington, Ohio. Seven grandchildren, Blaine Tucker, Aleigh Beard, Adryanna Tucker, Bradyn Tucker, Kylie Troxel, Jacob Best, and Hunter Troxel, who preceded her in death.
Ann is also survived by her sister, Margaret (Richard) Evert of Yuma, Arizona and a sister in law, Judy Bils-Wheeler of Upper Sandusky.
She graduated from the former Harpster High School and the Gale Institute in Minneapolis, MN. She then worked in the Engineering Department of the former General Telephone Company. She was also the Wyandot County 4-H program assistant and worked as a decorator for various local companies before starting her own business, Ann C. Beard Decorating.
Ann was a member of the First Presbyterian Church for over 25 years, where she served as an Elder and also taught Sunday School. For the last 32 years, she also was a member of Transfiguration of the Lord Catholic Church, Upper Sandusky.
She was a devoted Ohio State football and basketball fan.
Her loving husband, and children brought her much happiness. Her grandchildren were her joy. She most enjoyed gatherings with family and friends.
A funeral mass for Ann C. Bils will be held at 11:00am Thursday, February 18, 2021 at Transfiguration of the Lord, with Father Conrad Sutter OFM Conv. and Deacon Kevin Winterstellar officiating. Burial will follow at Old Mission Cemetery.
Visitations will be held on Wednesday from 4:00 pm to 7:00pm at the Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky.
