Alicia Amesquita, age 99, of Upper Sandusky, Ohio passed away on Sunday, January 3, 2021 at 3:33pm at her home in Upper Sandusky.
She was married to Narciso “Cecil” Amesquita on November 6, 1948 and he passed away on April 1, 2017 after 68 years of marriage.
Alicia is survived by her 8 children: Manuel (Sharon) Amesquita of Harpster, Narciso Jr.(Mary Snyder) Amesquita of Upper Sandusky, Mary Fox of Upper Sandusky, Johnny Amesquita of Upper Sandusky, Linda (Steve) Miller of Upper Sandusky, Rick (Sandy) Amesquita of Upper Sandusky, Rosie (Tip) Myers of Nevada, and Raul “Kenny” Amesquita of Upper Sandusky. 24 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren with 2 more on the way, and 1 great greatgrandchild survive, along with a brother Juan of Garden Grove, California.
She was preceded in death by her husband, 3 sisters, Maria, Carmella, and Concha, a brother Jose, a son in law Ken Fox, and a grandson in law Julius Colvin.
Alicia was a homemaker and also did housekeeping for the rectory at St. Peter’s. She retired from Continental Hose in Upper Sandusky after 15 years retiring in 1991.
She was a longtime member of Transfiguration of the Lord Catholic Church in Upper Sandusky.
Alicia enjoyed raising flowers and gardening, taking care of cats, feeding the birds, and spending time with her family.
Private family services for Alicia G. Amesquita will be held at Transfiguration of the Lord with Father Conrad Suter OFM Conv. and Deacon Kevin Winterstellar officiating. Burial will follow at St. Peter’s Catholic Cemetery.
