Wilma Lucile Ringer

Wilma Lucile Ringer, age 96, of Upper Sandusky, Ohio died
Monday, July 21 at 8:58pm at her home in Upper Sandusky.

She was born on July 1, 1912 in Wyandot County to Strawder and Frances Mitsch-Smith, both of whom are deceased along with her stepfather Ray I. Smith. Wilma graduated as class valedictorian from the 1930 class of South Hills High School in Pittsburg, PA.

Wilma worked for 45 years for Vogel's Shoe Store in Upper Sandusky and before that she worked for Eagle Nest Hatchery also in Upper Sandusky.

She was a 45 year member of the former First Church of God in Upper
where she was the church organist for many of those years and also taught adult Sunday school class for 25 years.
Wilma was a member of the Women of the Church of God. She had been attending the 1st Church of God in Marion.

For hobbies she enjoyed embroidery, crocheting, reading, especially her bible and playing the piano.

Wilma is survived by her friend of 55 years, Lucille Osborne of Upper Sandusky.

Funeral services for Wilma Lucile Ringer will be held at 11:00am Thursday, July 24 at the Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky. The Rev. Ohmer Swart and Rev. Delores Rayle will be officiating. Graveside services will be then held at 3:30pm on Thursday at Green Lawn Cemetery in Frankfort, Ohio.

Visitations will be from 10:00am to 11:00am on Thursday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Wyandot County and can be sent to Lucas-Batton, 476 S. Sandusky Ave. Upper Sandusky, OH 43351.
