Wilma M. Mcconahy

Wilma Mae (Stoner) McConahy, long time resident of Nevada, and most recently of Bucyrus, died on November 6th, 2007 at Bucyrus Community Hospital.
She was born on February 8, 1920 in Waldo, Ohio to the late John C "Ernest" and Daisy A (Hoffman) Stoner.
She was a 1938 graduate of Waldo High School.
On April 6, 1947, she married Milton G. McConahy, who preceded her in death on September 9, 1972.
She is survived by a son, Brent, and his wife Marty of Mansfield, granddaughter Michelle (Shelly) of Mansfield, a brother John A. "Art" (Kate) Stoner of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, sisters Dorothy Butcher of Richwood, Anna Ruth Brown of Worthington, Mary Jane Hall of Marion and many nieces and nephews.
She is also survived by a special sister-in-law, Lucille Balliet of Sycamore.
Besides her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by her sister Thelma Lawson and infant sister Emma Louise.
Wilma was a long time homemaker and retired as head housekeeper from Fairhaven Home in Upper Sandusky.
She was a member of Nevada Methodist Church where she was a former treasurer, choir member, and greeter.
She was a 50+ year member of Nevada Chapter #243 O.E.S. (now Bucyrus Chapter #3) where she served as Worthy Matron (numerous times), secretary, and treasurer. Past Deputy Grand Matron of District #10, O.E.S. and past President of District #10.
She was a former Clerk of the Village of Nevada and served as an election poll worker for many years.
She enjoyed attending the local county fairs and the Little Brown Jug to watch harness horse racing with her sister-in-law. She also enjoyed many Sunday and special occasion get-togethers and meals with her nephew Ron and his wife Cathy Suter and their family.
During her many years in Nevada, she was blessed to have such wonderful neighbors such as the Zimmermans, Stovers and Fishers who were always there to help her.
Funeral Services will be held at Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Nevada, OH on Monday, November 12 , at 12:30pm . The Rev. Brandon Keck will be officiating. Friends may call from 11:00am to 12:30pm on Monday at the funeral home in Nevada
with Eastern Star Services to be conducted at 11:00am on Monday. Burial will be in Nevada Cemetery.
