William "Bill" Kear

Mr. William "Bill" Kear, 61, of Suwanee, Georgia and formerly of Harpster, Ohio, passed away at Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta, GA on Saturday, October 8, 2011 surrounded by his wife and daughter.

Bill was born on December 30, 1949 in Tiffin, Ohio to Clifford and Esther (Bowen) Kear, both of whom are deceased. He married Janice (Whitt) Kear on August 5, 1979 in Upper Sandusky.

Bill is survived by his wife Jan, of Suwanee, GA and daughter Robin (Griswold) Vance, son-in-law Troy Vance and two grandsons, Cole and Lane Vance of Sugar Hill, GA. He is also survived by his sisters Mrs. Barbara (George) Friesel of Forest, Ohio, Carolyn Killen of Marion, Ohio, sister-in-law Mrs. Anita Kear of Harpster, Ohio.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Richard (Dick) Kear.

He was a graduate of Upper Sandusky High School and United Electronics Institute, and then went on to serve our country in the U.S. Army being stationed in Colorado. He worked in the paper/packaging industry for Boise Cascade, Mead Container Corporation, Concepts Packaging, Inc. and Georgia Pacific.

For hobbies Bill enjoyed reading and spending time with his family, especially his grandsons.

A Memorial Service for William "Bill" Kear will be held at 11:00am Saturday, October 15 at the Northside Chapel in Roswell, GA with Reverend Dr. E. Malone Dodson officiating.

Locally a Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, October 22 at the Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky, Ohio with the Rev. Joe Trester officiating.

Following the services in Upper Sandusky, a reception will be held in the Community Room of Lucas-Batton Funeral Home.
