William I. Hough, age 74, died at 3:00 pm, Sunday, March 28, 2010 at his home in Harpster, Ohio.
William was born on September 25, 1935, in Marion, Ohio to James Lee and Helen Mae (Ames) Hough, both of whom are deceased. He married Sarah C. Smith on August 22, 1980, and she survives in Harpster.
Also surviving William are nine children, Billy Hough of Salida, CO, Sandy Hollingsworth, of Davenport, WA, James Wills of Marion, OH, William Wills of Toledo, OH, Jeffrey Wills of Marion, OH, Mary Lou Wills of Harpster, OH, Ruth Saltzman of Kenton, OH, and Bernard Wills of Kenton, OH, and Carmin Rees of Copan, OK. Also surving are two brothers, James Hough of Loogootee, IN, Mike Hough of Coldwater, MI, two sisters, Virginia Tackett of Marion, OH, Kay Blevins of Sylvania, OH, and twenty-six grandchildren and twenty-two great grandchildren.
William was preceded in death by two sons, Russell and Paul Hough, and one sister, Barbara (Bobbi) Seedle; and a brother, Charles Hough.
He attended the Church of the Nazarene in Upper Sandusky, Ohio.
He was an Air Force Veteran, where he was a mechanic and instructor while stationed at Lackland Air Force Base in Texas. He was a laborer at Pixley Richards in Gilbert, AZ. He later became the Marshall in Georgetown, CO for four years. In his retirement, he was known as the "shade tree" mechanic.
Funeral services for William will be held at 10:00 am on Thursday, April 1, 2010 at the Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky, Ohio, with the Pastor Ben Gregory officiating. Burial will follow at Price Cemetery in Union County, Ohio.
Visitations will be held will be held from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm on Wednesday, March 31, 2010 at the Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky, Ohio.
