William A. (Bill) Anderson

William A. "Bill" Anderson, age 86, of Nevada, Ohio passed away on Thursday, July 12, 2012 at 8:30PM at Wyandot Memorial Hospital in Upper Sandusky.

Bill was born on January 7, 1926 in Columbus, Ohio to Clay and Geraldine (Moran) Anderson both of whom are deceased. He married Carol Dewitt and they divorced. He then married Sheila Bell on October 2, 1976 in Little Sandusky, Ohio and she survives in Nevada.

Also surviving Bill is a son, Ben (Loretta) Haubert of Lucas, Ohio, two daughters, Lisa and Dorothy Anderson both of Nevada. Three grandchildren, Rebecca Grove, Amanda Howell and Michaela Haubert, two great grandchildren, Makinna Hill and Brayden Hill, a brother Arthur Dale (Maria) Blair of Caledonia, Ohio and a sister, Marilyn (Lew) Cunningham of Marion, Ohio.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents, and a son, Roger Anderson.

Bill was a veteran of the Navy.

Bill worked as a truck driver for over forty years having driven for J.B. Hunt and before that he drove for Plant City Steel.

Bill attended the Apostolic Gospel Church in Upper Sandusky. For hobbies he enjoyed playing the harmonica and doing jigsaw puzzles.

Funeral services for William A. Anderson will be held at 10:30am on Tuesday, July 17, 2012 at the Lucas-Batton funeral home in Upper Sandusky, Ohio with the Rev. Rodney Donohoo officiating the services. Burial will follow at the Little Sandusky Cemetery where military graveside rites will be conducted by the Upper Sandusky Color Guard.

Visitation will be held from 2:00pm - 4:00pm and 6:00pm - 8:00pm on Monday, July 16, 2012 at the Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky.
