Willard E. "Willie" Clark, age 84, of Upper Sandusky, Ohio, passed away on Friday, September 19, 2014 at 1:45pm at The
Fairhaven Community in Upper Sandusky.
Willie was born April 21, 1930 in Marion, Ohio, to Lewis M. and Susie E. (Bartram) Clark, both of whom are deceased. He married Wanda (Swander) Michener on October 24, 1970 in Tiffin, Ohio, as she survives.
Surviving are 5 children; Robert (Deborah) Michener of Upper Sandusky, Patricia Cavendar of Sidney, Ohio, Rodney (Judy) Michener of Findlay, Cynthia (David) Emerine of Upper Sandusky, Michael (Anita) Michener of Webster, Florida.
Along with 18 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren.
Willie is survived by 2 brothers, Lewis Clark Jr., of Santa Fe, New Mexico, Larry Clark of Delaware and a sister, Shirley (Earl) Sayre of Upper Sandusky.
He was preceded in death by 3 brothers, Donald, Edward and Jack, and 2 sisters, Dorothy Branch and Barbara Clark.
Willie managed Wyandot Lanes in Upper Sandusky, for 9 years and also had worked for 31 years at the former Millington Plastics in Upper Sandusky.
Willie was a member of the John Stewart United Methodist Church in Upper Sandusky. A life member of the BPOE #83, member of the American Legion Post #225 and former member of the Eagles, all of Upper Sandusky. He was a veteran of the Korean War having served with the US Navy.
He was also a life member of the Upper Sandusky City Bowling Association, and a member of the John Deere Antique Tractor Association.
For hobbies, Willie enjoyed collecting tractors, camping, playing cards, going to Amish Country, and most of all he loved being with his family, and going to his grandchildren's sporting events. He will be greatly missed.
Funeral services for Willard E. "Willie" Clark will be held at 1:00pm Wednesday, September 24, 2014 at the John Stewart United Methodist Church with Rev. Brian Arnold and Rev. Becky king officiating. Burial will follow at Grand Prairie Cemetery, where graveside rites will be conducted by the Upper Sandusky Color Guard.
Visitations will be on Tuesday, September 23, from 2:00pm to 4:00pm and 6:00pm to 8:00pm at the Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky, and 1 hour prior to service time at the church.
Memorial contributions may be made to Wyandot Memorial Hospital, American Diabetes Foundation, The Fairhaven Community, John Stewart UMC, and can be sent to Lucas-Batton, 476 S. Sandusky Ave. Upper Sandusky, OH., 43351.
