Will Caldwell, Sr., age 70, of Upper Sandusky, Ohio, passed away on Sunday evening, May 25, 2014, at the Kobacker House at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus, Ohio.

Will was born on March 1, 1944 in Pineville, Kentucky to Dewey and Rachel (Brock) Caldwell, both of whom are deceased. He married Highley Wireman on November 23, 1968 in Bellevue, Ohio, and she survives.

He is survived by 7 children; Terry Neal of Rosman, North Carolina, Donna (Joe) Stowe of Bucyrus, Ohio, Mark (Helen) Caldwell of Marion, Ohio, Charlotte (James) Penwell Jr., of Forest, Ohio, Will (Jodi) Caldwell Jr. of Upper Sandusky Ohio, Daniel (Nikki) Caldwell of Upper Sandusky Ohio, and William (Heather) Eigel of Arcadia, Ohio. Along with 25 grandchildren, and 22 great grandchildren with one on the way.

Will also has 3 brothers, Billy Jay (Renate) Caldwell of Berea, Kentucky, Michael (Julia) Caldwell of Dunkirk, Ohio, Doug Brock of Bucyrus, Ohio, and 6 sisters, Vada Hubbard of Pineville, Kentucky, Bertha (Tom) Wireman of Norwalk, Ohio, Sarah (Duane) Christenson of Owingsville, Kentucky, Lucy Dakin of Newscomerstown, Ohio, Anna Lou (Arnold) Hensley of Pineville, Kentucky, Brenda (David) Mason of Corbin, Kentucky. Along with 2 stepsisters, Carol and Barb Smith and a stepbrother, Ken Smith.

He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers, Mitchell and Raymond Caldwell and sister, Sadie Edwards, and a great grandson Travis Hoel.

Will retired after 30 plus years as a operator helper with Engineered Wire Products in Upper Sandusky.

For hobbies he enjoyed going to flea markets, trader of guns and pocket knives, and going to Walmart. He loved his Cadillac's and working on cars, traveling, and was known by his family as the "human gps".

He enjoyed his dogs, Maggie, Molly and Mattie, and had a very friendly spirit, in that he never met a stranger, possessing the gift of gab. He loved his family and really enjoyed watching his grandchildren and great grandchildren participate in many sporting events.

Funeral services for Will Caldwell Sr. will be held at 11:00am Saturday, May 31, 2014 at the Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky, with Rev. Joseph Caldwell Jr. officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery.

Calling hours will be held on Friday, May 30, from 5:00pm to 8:00pm at the Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky.
