Wanda Lee Stowe passed away peacefully on June 24, 2026, at the age of 74, with her family surrounding her with their love.

Wanda was born in Wheelersburg, Kentucky, on January 26, 1952, to Jim and Sola Meade. She was the fifth of twelve children. She married Robert “Bob” Omer Stowe Sr. on May 5, 1972, in Morral, Ohio, and he preceded her in death on February 18, 2014.

She is survived by their children, Sola (Dave) Clair of Nevada, Ohio; Steven (Michelle) Stowe of Tiffin, Ohio; and Kristy Stowe (Kevin Watts) of Bucyrus, Ohio, Bob and Wanda’s grandchildren, Erica Hooper of Colorado; Aaron (Sara) Stansbery of Upper Sandusky, Ohio, Hanah Stansbery (Neil Merwine) of Forest, Ohio, Jag, Kolten, Lilly and Meadow Clair of Nevada, Ohio, Wesley Stowe of Martins Ferry, Ohio, Trevor McCarthy of Lemoore, California, Evan (Bree) Stowe of Bucyrus, Ohio, Madison Sulser of Mt. Gilead, Ohio, Kynzie Watts of Bucyrus, Ohio, Dylan Watts (Julia Leatherman) of Leipsic, Ohio, and eleven great grandchildren.

Wanda is also survived by her sister Cathy (Charlie) McCoy and her brothers Willis (Norma) Meade, Delno Meade, Harry (Roxanne) Meade, Gary (Shirley) Meade, Larry (Sharon) Meade, Rick (Carolyn) Meade, Leroy (Sharon) Meade, Sammie Meade, and Marty (Misty) Meade. She is also survived by brothers in law, Verne Stowe, Frank Stowe, and sister in law Opal (Barney) Vehrs, and many nieces and nephews.

Wanda was preceded in death by her son Robert (Pruitt) Omer Stowe Jr., her husband Bob, her Mom and Dad, sister Jean (Alfred) Bentley, many in laws, nieces, nephews, mother in law Thelma Stowe, and father in law Everette Stowe.

She loved her vacations with family especially going to Myrtle Beach, Hocking Hills, Lake Erie, and back to Kentucky.

She was a homemaker, always taking care of other people and loved going out to eat with family. In her younger days, she loved getting together with family and friends playing cards and having cook outs.

She will be missed dearly by everyone and especially her ham and mashed potatoes she would bring to get togethers.

A memorial service for Wanda will be held at 12:00 pm on Saturday, July 18, 2026, at Espyville Church located at 805 Espyville Rd. N., Marion, OH 43302. Visitations will be held from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm at the church prior to the service, and a potluck will follow the service. Come and celebrate her life with her family.
