Joe Fleck

Walter Joseph Fleck III, age 75, of Carey, Ohio, passed away at 11:35 am on Wednesday, April 15, 2026, in Findlay, Ohio.

Joe was born on November 6, 1950, in Tiffin, Ohio, to Walter Joseph Fleck II, and Roseanna C. (Borer) Fleck. Joe was married to Sharron E. Kitzler on August 15, 2015, in Ashville, North Carolina, and she survives in Carey.

Joe is also survived by his step children, Seth (Chelsea) Kitzler of Carey, Joshua (Eren) Kitzler of Carey, Ryan (Stephanie) Kitzler of Upper Sandusky, and their children. Joe is also survived by his siblings, Susan (Curt) Wagner of Marblehead, Janet (Frank) Ambrose of Deland, FL, Dymphna (Mike) Huffman of Findlay, Jim (Micky) Fleck of Findlay, and Jude Fleck of Findlay, along with many nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly.

Joe was preceded in death by his parents, and brothers Dave (Cindy) Fleck, and Steven Fleck who passed in infancy.

Joe graduated from Tiffin Calvert Catholic High School in 1968 and was the owner and operator of Fleck Painting for over 40 years.

Joe enjoyed spending time with his family, hosting friends and family for cookouts. Joe was a man of faith and was always eager to share his faith in Jesus with others. He loved going to the men’s bible study at Buffalo Trading Co. in Findlay. Joe also enjoyed traveling, watching football, NASCAR, old movies, and listening to jazz music.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 AM on May 28, 2026, at Lighthouse Church of God in Carey, Ohio, and will be officiated by Pastor Joe Turner. A time of food and fellowship will follow the service.
