Virginia L. Westerman

Virginia L. Westerman, age 89, of Upper Sandusky, Ohio passed away on Wednesday, December 5, 2012 at 8:30PM in the Wyandot County Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Upper Sandusky.

She was born on April 19, 1923 in Upper Sandusky, Ohio to Clarence and Fannie (Lambright) Berg. She married Donald R. Westerman on November 26, 1942 at her parents' home in Upper Sandusky and he survives and they recently celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary.

Surviving are 3 daughters: Karen Westerman of Denver, Colorado, Kathy (Andrew) Liszkay of Rochester, New York, and Connie Westerman of Knoxville, Tennessee, along with 2 grandchildren, Tracy Liszkay of Rochester and Brian (fiancAC. Katie Murphy) Liszkay of Gainesville, Virginia.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother Kenneth Berg and a sister Margaret Kuenzli.

Virginia was a homemaker and was the cafeteria manager in the Upper Sandusky School System retiring after 21 years.

She was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church in Upper Sandusky and the Warpole Chapter Order of the Eastern Star #366.

Virginia enjoyed gardening, sewing and was an avid reader. She enjoyed spending time with her family, traveling throughout the United States, and spending winters in Arizona.

Visitation for Virginia L. Westerman will be held on Monday December 10, 2012 from 12:00PM to 2:00PM at the Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky with her funeral service starting at 2:00PM, on Monday at the Funeral Home with Rev. Jim Stauffer officiating. Burial will follow at Old Mission Cemetery.
