Virginia M. Fields, age 89, of Wharton, Ohio passed away on Sunday, June 24, 2012 at 7:25AM at Fairhaven Retirement and Healthcare Community in Upper Sandusky .
Virginia was born on August 8, 1922 in Wyandot County to Albert and Thelma (Hankins) Cole. Shortly after her birth, Virginia's mother passed away and she
was then raised by Erskine and Mildred Cole, all of whom are deceased. She married Ralph Fields on June 5, 1941 and he died May 26, 2004.
She is survived by a daughter Pam (Delbert) Johnson of Nevada, and four grandchildren, Debra Fields of Findlay, Jackie Fields of Findlay, Shannon (Rae) Johnson of Nevada and Troy (Ann) Johnson of Nevada along with five great grandchildren Hannah and Kayla Johnson, Jordan(Pamela) Johnson and Devin and Aidan Johnson all of Nevada and two great great grandchildren, Trey and Jessa Johnson.
Virginia is survived by four sisters, Barbara Van Horn of Auburn, Indiana, Clarabelle Van Horn of Celina, Ohio, Annabelle Cole of Findlay and Carolyn Thomas of Findlay and four brothers, Melvin Cole of Findlay, Herbert Cole of Avon Lake, Foster Cole of Mt. Blanchard and Everett Cole of New Castle, Indiana.
She was preceded by a son Ralph Eugene "Gene" Fields, a sister Doris Bash and a brother Donald Cole.
Virginia worked in various departments for over 40 years at RCA in Findlay retiring in 1985.
She enjoyed spending her summers at Lake Erie with family and friends where she
Enjoyed fishing with her husband and grandchildren. She loved sports and followed the
Ohio State Buckeyes and various athletes such as Kobie and the Laker's, Tiger and his golfing and Ben and his Pittsburg Steelers.
Funeral Services for Virginia M. Fields will be private.
