Vickie M. Vaughn Griswold

Vickie M. Vaughn Griswold, age 62, of Upper Sandusky, Ohio, passed away Wednesday, July 8, 2015 at 3:55pm at Fairhaven Community in Upper Sandusky.

Born March 28, 1953 in Bucyrus, Ohio, she was the daughter of William & Pauline (Bachtell) Vaughn of Upper Sandusky, Ohio.

Vickie is survived by a son, C. Edward Griswold of Dublin, Ohio, a step-daughter, Robin (Troy) Vance of Sugar Hill, Georgia, a brother, Dennis (Joyce) Vaughn of Bucyrus, nephew Brian Vaughn of Nevada, niece Amy Vaughn of Bucyrus, two step-grandsons, Cole and Lane Vance of Sugar Hill, Georgia, along with four great nephews, Bryton, Trent, Chase and Logan Vaughn all of Nevada, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her father and a nephew, Greg Vaughn.

She was a 1971 graduate of Mohawk High School, Sycamore, where she was active in the Future Homemakers of America and served on the reunion committees throughout the years.

In 2006, Vickie retired after working 25 years in the laundry department at Fairhaven. Her co-workers described her as caring, hardworking, big hearted, and always ready to lend a hand.

She was a member of North Salem Lutheran Church in rural Upper Sandusky.

Vickie enjoyed cross stitch, knitting, crocheting, reading and following the Ohio State Buckeyes football and basketball teams.

Memorial services will be held at 4:00 pm Sunday, July 12, 2015 at the Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky with the Reverend Joe Trester officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the memorial service.
