Tyler Lee Robinette, age 60, of Mt. Gilead, Ohio, passed away at home on Thursday, March 12, 2026,
Tyler was born on July 7, 1965, in Upper Sandusky, to James and Cassandra (Stewart) Robinette Sr. Tyler was once married to Pam Caskey and together they had 2 daughters, Kimberly (William) Rives and Brittany Arnett both of Bucyrus. Tyler is also survived by his father, James Robinette Sr. of Upper Sandusky, 5 grandchildren, Ben Wentz, Hailey, and Ava Rives, Katie and Aubrey Arnett, brother James “Buckwheat” (Jackie) Robinette Jr., of Forest, sister Mary Lynn Robinette of Upper Sandusky, and many nieces and nephews.
Tyler was preceded in death by his mother Cassandra, and his sister Opal Marcum.
Tyler graduated from Mohawk High School in 1983 and joined the United States Air Force and was stationed in Plattsburg, New York. After serving 4 years, Tyler worked at Timken Co. in Bucyrus for 10 years and then worked in construction for many years.
Tyler was athletic, he played football while in High School, and wrestled, and even went to State for wrestling – which he was very proud of. Tyler also enjoyed playing softball in an adult traveling league for many years. Tyler was the life of the party. He enjoyed dancing, spending time with his friends, going camping, and spending time at the lake. Tyler also enjoyed watching the OSU Buckeyes and crocheted many hats over the years.
A celebration of life gathering for Tyler will be held from 4:00 – 6:00 pm on Thursday, March 19, 2026, at the Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky, with a memorial service beginning at 6:00 pm, and will be officiated by Tyler’s cousin, Pastor Chris Stewart and Pastor James Robinette III.
Memorial contributions may be made to Lucas-Batton Funeral Home to assist Tyler’s family with funeral expenses, and can be sent to Lucas-Batton, 476 S. Sandusky Ave. Upper Sandusky, OH 43351.
