Treva Packer

Treva Packer, age 92, of Kirby, Ohio passed away at 2:30pm on Monday, October 19, 2009 at her home.

Treva was born on March 8, 1917 in Hancock County, Ohio to Forest J. and Florence (Mick) Hotelling both of whom are deceased. She married Raymond A. Packer on October 28, 1939 and he passed away on December 8, 1986.

Surviving Treva are three children: Linda (Ronnie) Frey of Kirby, Ohio, James (Pat) Packer of Upper Sandusky, Ohio, and Rick (Sandy) Packer of Upper Sandusky, Ohio, ten grandchildren: Vicki DeLany, Lisa Thiel, Ray (Jane) Frey, Karl (Margaret) Frey, Lydia (Toby) Wagner, Todd (Stacy) Frey, Karen (Scott) Swanger, Bill Packer, Amanda Packer, and Brittany Packer, twelve great grandchildren: Travis (Katie) Thiel, Kelle (Tyson) Saull, Ashley Thiel, Keith Thiel, Sarah Frey, Audrey Frey, Nicholas Frey, Hannah Frey, Gage Frey, Gavin Frey, Shelby Swanger, and Haley Swanger, and five great great grandchildren: Keagan, Kaidance, Kaimen, and Keileigh Iles, and Ava Saull, four step great grand children: Zach and Isaiah DeLany, and Logan and Lindsay Wagner, and one step great great grandchild Vera DeLany.

Also surviving Treva is a sister-in-law Leora Packer of Forest, Ohio.

Treva was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a son Gary Packer, a sister, Martha Lawrence, and a infant twin brother Truman Hotelling, a grandson Galen Frey, and a great granddaughter Jenna Frey.

Treva, along with her husband, owned and operated Packers Market in Kirby for 23 years and later Packers Style Shop in Kirby.

She was a member of the Forest United Methodist Church in Forest, Ohio.

Treva loved to spend time with her family and especially enjoyed having and going to family gatherings. She enjoyed playing cards, crocheting afghans, and she was a Tiger Woods fan.

Funeral services for Treva will be held at 11:00am on Friday, October 23, 2009 at the Forest United Methodist Church in Forest, Ohio with the Pastor Denny Livingston officiating the services. Burial will follow at the Jackson Center Cemetery.

Visitations will be held on Thursday, October 22, 2009 from 2pm - 8pm at the Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky, Ohio and one hour prior to service time on Friday at the Forest United Methodist Church in Forest, Ohio.
