Timothy A. Swinehart, age 53, of Upper Sandusky, Ohio, passed away on Tuesday, October 13, 2015, in a farming accident, near his home in rural Upper Sandusky.
Tim was born on October 11, 1962, in Upper Sandusky, Ohio, to Russell and Vera (Yaussy) Swinehart. His father has passed away, and his mother, Vera, is living in Upper Sandusky.
He married Marlene J. Staley on April 7, 1984 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Kirby, and she survives.
He is survived by 3 children, Kimberly (David) Kisor (Swinehart) of Summerville, South Carolina, Matthew "Norman" (Kristen) Swinehart of Annapolis, Maryland, and Ryan Swinehart of Upper Sandusky. Along with 2 granddaughters, Averie and Shelby Kisor.
Tim is also survived by a brother, Michael "Jay" Swinehart of San Antonio, Texas, and 2 sisters, Karen (Daniel) Lee, and Jan (John) Pool, both of Upper Sandusky. A sister in law, Nancy Swinehart, of Upper Sandusky, and a special couple, Harold and Lucy Swinehart of Upper Sandusky.
He was preceded in death by his father, Russell, a brother, Steven, and a special friend, Eugene Baughman.
Tim was a farmer, and also worked for the past 17 years for Ohio Department of Transportation, as a Highway Technician. He also had worked at Guardian Industries for many years prior to ODOT.
He was a 1981 graduate of Upper Sandusky High School.
Tim loved farming and was a Case I-H man at heart. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, and mushroom hunting. He enjoyed being with his family and friends, whether it was spending time around the family pond, or going to see his granddaughters in South Carolina. And he also enjoyed his time with his dog, Scooby, who never left his side around the farm.
Funeral services for Timothy A. Swinehart will be held at 11:00am Monday, October 19, 2015 at the Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky, with the Rev. Steve Miller officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in Upper Sandusky.
Visitations will be held on Sunday, October 18, from 2:00pm to 8:00pm at the Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky.
Memorial contributions may be made to Pitt Twp. Fire Department, National FFA Organization, or the Donor's Choice, and can be sent to Lucas-Batton Funeral Home, 476 S. Sandusky Ave. Upper Sandusky, Ohio 43351.
