Timothy E. Staten

Timothy E. Staten, age 61, of Upper Sandusky, passed away at 3:55 pm on Monday, October 3, 2022, in Clyde, Ohio.

Timothy was born on May 24, 1961, in Covington, Virginia, to Trula Staten-Surgeon and step father Johnnie Surgeon and they survive in Sebring, FL.

Timothy is survived by his 4 daughters, Brittany (Zackery) Baer, Hannah (James) Gale, Alyson Staten, and Kaichon Staten, all of Marion, and 10 grandchildren, Draiman, Collin, Kaylei, Aiden, Andromeda, Cordilia, Adrianna, Ava, Maddox, and Morty. Timothy is also survived by his ex-wife, Jennifer Staten of Marion, brother Noman (Teresa) Surgeon of Sebring, FL, and his sister, Arica (Mike) Hans of North Myrtle Beach, SC.

Timothy was preceded in death by his father in law Jerry Saylor, and his sister in law Rachael Jordan.

Timothy graduated from Marion Harding High School in 1979, and then joined the U.S. Army. Timothy received many ASE certifications over the years and he worked as an ASE Certified Automotive Technician for over 40 years at various places around the area.

Timothy loved his dogs and left behind his dog Road Dog, who went with Tim wherever he would go, and he was preceded in death by his dog Rebel.

Timothy enjoyed watching NASCAR, spending time in his vegetable garden, canning, working on cars, and going to car shows or races.

A memorial service for Timothy will be held at 6:00 pm on Wednesday, October 12, 2022, at Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky. Visitations will be held 2 hours prior to the service, from 4:00 – 6:00 pm at the funeral home.
