Thomas Wayne Dye

Thomas Wayne Dye, age 26, of Wilmington, North Carolina, and formerly of Nevada and Bucyrus Area passed away on Sunday, October 18, 2009 in Bucyrus, Ohio.

Thomas was born on May 10, 1983 in Upper Sandusky, Ohio to Fred Thomas Dye who is deceased and Anita Simmons, who survives in Bucyrus, Ohio.

Surviving Thomas are three brothers, Eric Simmons of Nevada, Ohio, Jesse Dye of Richland, Virginia, Christopher Dye of Richlands, Virginia and one sister, Brandy Dye also of Richlands, Virginia.

Also surviving is a paternal great great grandmother Mattie V. Shelton of Richlands, Virginia, paternal grandmother, Anna Dye of Bucyrus, Ohio, maternal grandfather Billy Joe (Nita) Simmons of Gallipolis, Ohio, a maternal grandfather David Bucher of Upper Sandusky, Ohio.

Thomas is also survived by two uncles, Robert L. (Kristen) Dye Jr. of Bucyrus, and Billy W. (Deb) Simmons of Upper Sandusky, Ohio, three aunts Judy Justice of Nevada, Julie (Tim) Pace of Bucyrus, and Rhonda Lou Dye of Bucyrus, along with many cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father, Grandfather Robert Dye Sr., an uncle Edward Simmons, and his grandmother Lottie Bucher.

Thomas attended Wynford High School and later obtained is GED. He enjoyed following the Ohio State Buckeyes and the New York Yankees, playing golf, fishing, and boating. And most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

Funeral Services for Thomas Dye will be held at 11:00am Friday, October 23, 2009 at the Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Nevada, Ohio. Burial will follow at the Nevada Cemetery in Nevada, Ohio.

Visitations will be held from 5pm - 8pm on Thursday, October 22, 2009 at the Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Nevada, Ohio.
