Thelma June Bowling, age 78, of Findlay, Ohio, passed away on Wednesday, October 7, 2015
At 10:05am at the Heritage Nursing Home in Findlay.

June was born June 27, 1937 in Grayson, Kentucky to Everett and Dorothy B. "Mam" (Prichard) Shearer, both of whom are deceased. She married Arvel L. Bowling on June 1, 1958 I Upper Sandusky, Ohio, and he passed away on April 17, 2011.

She is survived by a daughter Alice (Bill) Lawrence of Findlay, and 2 sons, Clinton Bowling of Carey, Ricky (Vickie) Bowling of Findlay. 6 grandchildren, Matthiew (Grace) Bowling, Karla (Brett) Miller, Dustin Folk, Zachary Bowling, Kimberly (Derek) Betts and Brian (Angel) Bowling and 10 great grandchildren. Along with a sister Mary "Polly" Dyer of Sycamore, Ohio.

June was preceded in death by a daughter, Thelma Nadine Bowling, a granddaughter Alice Lutz, a brother, Clinton "Bud" Shearer, sister, Juanita Bowling.

June was a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church in Upper Sandusky.

For hobbies she enjoyed crocheting, playing card games, and bingo, doing word searches, and in her younger years, she enjoyed going for walks.

Funeral services for Thelma June Bowling will be held at 11:00am Monday, October 12, 2015 at the Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky, with Rev. Gary Stumbo officiating. Burial will follow at Old Mission Cemetery.

Visitations will be held on Sunday, from 5:00pm to 8:00pm at the Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky.

Memorial contributions may be made to Thelma June Bowling Memorial Fund and can be sent to Lucas-Batton, 476 S. Sandusky Ave. Upper Sandusky, Ohio, 43351.
