Rev. Ted Cano

Rev. Ted A. Cano, age 77, of Upper Sandusky, Ohio passed away at 1:15pm on Monday, February 27, 2012 at the Fairhaven Retirement and Healthcare Community in Upper Sandusky.

Ted was born on January 11, 1935 in Yoro-Yoro Honduras to Pablo and Eleuteria "Teya" Cano both of whom are deceased. He married Elisa Toledo on December 26, 1961 in Honduras and she survives in Upper Sandusky.

Also surviving Ted is a son Moises (Heather) Cano of Upper Sandusky, two grandchildren Ashley and Braden Cano, a brother Samuel Cano of Tegucigalpa, Honduras and a sister Dilia Donaire of Comayagua, Honduras.

Ted was preceded in death by a his parents, three brothers David, Daniel and Sebastian, and two sisters Maria and Tina.

Ted was a retired Methodist Pastor having received his Master of Divinity Degree from Theological Seminary of Dayton and went on to serve in many churches throughout Ohio with his last church before retirement being Gratis United Methodist Church. Ted was at one time the pastor at Trinity United Methodist Church here in Upper Sandusky.

For hobbies, he enjoyed painting, classical music, singing, woodworking, and gardening, especially tending to his roses.

Funeral services for Rev. Ted A. Cano will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, March 3, 2012 at the Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky with the Rev. Jim Stauffer officiating the services. Burial will follow at the Oak Hill Cemetery in Upper Sandusky.

Visitations will be held on Friday, March 2, 2012 from 6pm - 8pm at the Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky.
