Sylvia R. Miller

Sylvia R. Miller, age 69, of Upper Sandusky, Ohio passed away
Saturday, July 10, 2010 at 7:05 am at the Fairhaven Community
in Upper Sandusky.

Sylvia was born on June 15, 1941 in Lima, Ohio to Robert B. "Ben" and Dorothy (Beidelschies) Armstrong. After Dorothy's death Ben remarried Gwyneth Trachsel, both of whom are now deceased.

She married Thomas W. Miller on March 17, 1963 and he survives.

Sylvia is survived by her children Nan Baas of Upper Sandusky, Natalie Johns of Hilliard, Ohio and Mike (Leslie Batton) Miller of Grove City, Ohio. Along with her grandchildren, Nicholas Niederkohr, Mandy Niederkohr, Zachary Johns, Jared Johns, Jack Johns, Matthew Johns and Owen Miller. A sister Beverly (George) Bowen also survives in Upper Sandusky.

Sylvia was a homemaker and also had worked at the following places through the years starting as a legal secretary for 15 years with Stansbery, Schoenberger and Scheck and Suzie's Pizza. Sylvia then went on as an advertising agent for WYNT Radio and then co-owned and operated Sky Dive Bowling Green for many years.

She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Upper Sandusky and a former member of Warpole Chapter #366 OES in Upper Sandusky and also was a Brownie Troop leader when her girls were young. For hobbies she enjoyed working around the yard and landscaping, shopping and collecting various types of antiques and other collectables, traveling, watching movies and just hanging out with the family especially
her grandchildren.

A Memorial Service for Sylvia R. Miller will be held at 11:00am Wednesday, July 14 at the Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky with Rev. Trent Oelberg officiating.


Visitations will be held on Tuesday, July 13 from 5:00pm to 8:00pm at the Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky.

. A graveside service will be private and held at a later date at Oak Hill Cemetery. It
was Sylvia's wish that her body would be cremated after her death.
