Sue Ann Herring

Sue Ann Herring, age 57, of Harpster, Ohio, passed away surrounded by her family on Wednesday, August 5, 2015 at 8:05pm in her home.

Sue was born on July 10, 1958 in Upper Sandusky, to Jack D. and Evalena P. "Ene" (Carroll) Leonard, who both survive in Upper Sandusky. She married Phil Herring and he survives.

She is survived by 3 children, Emily Ann Herring of Yellow Springs, Ohio, Mark Philip (Marleen) Herring of Cincinnati, Keith Leonard (Hannah) Herring of Upper Sandusky. 2 grandchildren, Isaiah and Judah Herring.

Sue is also survived by her 2 brothers, Dean (Sharon) Leonard of Upper Sandusky, Dick (Tracy) Leonard of Arlington, Ohio, and a sister, Amy (Mike) Baldridge of Beavercreek, Ohio.

Sue was a 1976 graduate of Upper Sandusky High School and a member of Trinity Evangelical United Methodist Church in Upper Sandusky.

Up until her illness, she was the Registrar for the Wyandot County Health Department and previous to that worked as a dental assistant for Dr. Johnson D.D.S. for 10 years.

Sue had a passion for photography and a love of nature. She enjoyed singing and sharing her beautiful voice in various musicals at the Star Theater and as a member of "The Sound of Music" singing group.

She was a woman of faith, which was evident in her spirit and love of family, especially her grandchildren, who knew her as Mimi.

Funeral services for Sue Ann Herring will be held at 11:00am Monday, August 10, 2015 at the Trinity Evangelical United Methodist Church in Upper Sandusky, with Rev. Jim Stauffer officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery.

Visitations will be held on Sunday from 2-4pm and 6-8pm at the Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky and 1 hour before service time at the church on Monday.
