Steven E. Swinehart

Steven E. Swinehart, age 49, of Upper Sandusky, Ohio, passed away on Saturday, May 23, 2015 at 4:45pm at his home in Upper Sandusky.

Steve was born on March 11, 1966 in Upper Sandusky, to Russell E. and Vera I (Yaussy) Swinehart. His father is deceased and his mother, Vera, is living in Upper Sandusky. He married Nancy Will on April 16, 2008 and she survives.

He is survived by 4 children: Heather (Angie) Swinehart of Bluffton, Daniel Dotson of Upper Sandusky, Adeline (Chuck) Hartley of Carey, and Lucas Lykins of Fostoria. 16 grandchildren, Tristen, Kolton, Austin, Autumn, Cannon, Jordan, Landen, Aiden, Noah, Audrina, Addystin, Cash, Presley, Nevaeh, L.J., and Eli.

Steve also is survived by 2 sisters, Karen (Dan) Lee and Jan (John) Pool, both of Upper Sandusky, and 2 brothers, Michael (Jay) Swinehart of San Antonio, Texas and Tim (Marlene) Swinehart of Upper Sandusky.

Steve was a 1984 graduate of Upper Sandusky High School and went on to serve his country in the US Army.

He worked for General Electric in Bucyrus as a Unit Maintenance Attendent, along with farming and raising livestock.

He was a member of the Moose Lodge in Upper Sandusky and a former member of the Eagles Lodge in Upper Sandusky.

For hobbies Steve enjoyed mushroom hunting, fishing, playing corn hole and building corn hole boards, woodworking. He also enjoyed bowling with the Moose traveling team and also the Kings & Queens League at Wyandot Lanes.

Steve also enjoyed following the Cleveland Cavaliers and OSU Buckeyes, his dogs and cats, and raising his steers.

Funeral services for Steven E. Swinehart will be held at 11:00am Friday, May 29, at the Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky, with the Rev. Steve Miller officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery.

Visitations will be held on Thursday, from 2-4pm and 6-8pm at the Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky.
