Stanley W. Lambert, age 81, of rural Nevada, passed away on Thursday, January 13, 2011 at 5:40am at his home in Nevada.

Stanley was born on April 9, 1929 in Ruggles, Kentucky to Samuel and Beulah
(Dummitt) Lambert, both of whom are deceased. He married Madge Faye Cooper on October 16, 1952 in Garrison, Kentucky and she died February 2, 2005.


Surviving is a son Ron Lambert and his friend Jessica Allison, of Bucyrus. A grandson C.J. Lambert of Fredericktown, Ohio. A foster son Rick (Patty) Hopple of Fremont along with 4 foster grandchildren, Rick Jr., Brandy, Amanda and Jessica and 6 foster great grandchildren Also a foster daughter in law Kandy Wilson survives in Willard.

He is also survived by 3 brothers, Don Lambert of Bucyrus, Ellis J. Lambert of Olive Hill, Kentucky, Roger (Audrey) Lambert of Harpster along with 4 sisters, Mildred Bauer of McArthur, Ohio, Mary Clark of Garrison, Kentucky, Mazie (Ralph) Butler of Bucyrus and Marge (George)Hughes of Bucyrus.

He was preceded in death by a foster son Martin Wilson and a brother, Lester Lambert.

Stanley had retired from G. Williamson Maintenance of Columbus and before that had worked for Ryder-Heil Bronze in Bucyrus and at one time operated the Lambert Sawmill in Nevada. He was a member of Sharon Christian Church in Bucyrus where he was very active with the church. He also was a veteran of the Korean War where he had served in the US Army. His memberships also included the American Legion Post #462 in Nevada.

For hobbies he enjoyed hunting, fishing, vegetable gardening, helping others and watching his grandson C.J. play baseball.

Funeral services for Stanley W. Lambert will be held at 11:00am Monday, January 17 at the Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Nevada with Rev. Dave Martin Sr. officiating. Burial will follow at Crawford Memory Gardens in Crawford County.

Visitations will be on Sunday, January 16, from 1:00pm to 5:00pm at the Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Nevada.

Memorials may be Sharon Christian Church and can be sent to Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Nevada.
