Shirley Mae Sines

Shirley Mae Sines, age 73, of Ferndale, Michigan and formerly of Upper Sandusky and Delaware, Ohio, passed away Monday, September 9, 2013 at her residence.

She was born on January 18, 1940 in Licking County, Ohio to Clarence O. and Alice (Miller) Huff, both of whom are deceased. She was married to Jasper Sines and he survives in Upper Sandusky.

Shirley is survived by 3 sons, Mark A. (Tracey) Huff of Oak Park, Michigan, John (Renee) Sines of Elizabethtown, Kentucky, and Jason (Teresa) Sines of Upper Sandusky. And 2 daughters, Amanda Wass of Delaware, Alicia (Steve) Crooks of Ostrander, Ohio, along with numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a daughter Debra Madison and a brother, Clayton and a sister Pat Price.

Shirley was retired as a dietary aide with Grady Memorial Hospital in Delaware after 20 plus years of work.

For hobbies she enjoyed crocheting and teaching crocheting to others. She had a love of butterflies, whether in her collections of butterfly knickknacks, stickers, pictures or even having a butterfly etched on her eyeglasses.

She also will be remembered for her outgoing personality, where she never knew a stranger and also for her love for her kids and her special way she was able to show it to her grandchildren.

Services for Shirley Mae Sines will be held at 6:00pm Monday, September 16, 2013 in the Auditorium of the Fairhaven Community in Upper Sandusky with Rev. Becky Jones officiating.

Following the brief services on Monday, the family will receive friends in the auditorium.
