Shirley L. Gibson

Shirley L. Gibson, age 82, of Upper Sandusky, Ohio passed away at her
home on Monday, March 21, 2011.

Shirley was born on July 17, 1928 in Upper Sandusky, Ohio to Harry and Modest (Brown) Williams, both of whom are deceased. She married Eugene "Gib" Gibson on March 21, 1949 in Bellefontaine, Ohio and he died on December 21, 2000.

Shirley is survived by nieces and nephews and many friends and neighbors.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 4 sisters, Gloria Althauser, Lillian "Noney" Mapes, Florence Payne, Jean Swartz, and 3 brothers, Robert Williams, Ivan Williams and Richard Williams

Shirley was a homemaker and also worked at the Busy Bee in Upper Sandusky for many years.

She was a 50 year member of Trinity United Church of Christ in Upper Sandusky.

For hobbies, Shirley enjoyed ceramics, feeding birds and squirrels, she loved her dogs and cats and Shirley especially enjoyed visiting with family and friends.

Funeral services for Shirley L. Gibson will be held at 1:00pm Saturday, March 26, 2011 at the Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky, Ohio with the Rev. Brad McKibben officiating the services. Burial will follow at the Oak Hill Cemetery in Upper Sandusky.

Visitations will be held on Friday, March 25, 2011 from 5:00pm - 8:00pm at the Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky.
