Sharon K. Leathem

Sharon K. (Bucher) Leathem, age 67, of Upper Sandusky, Ohio, died on Tuesday, October 26, 2010 at Fairhaven Community in Upper Sandusky after a lengthy illness.

Sharon was born on December 23, 1942 in Bucyrus, Ohio to Gilbert H. Bucher Sr. who survives in Nevada, Ohio and Marie E. (Edington) Widman who survives in Upper Sandusky..

She married Robert Leathem on December 28, 1963 and they later divorced.

Sharon is survived by a son Steve Starner of Crestline, Ohio, two daughters, Holly Plotner and Rebekka Reed both of Upper Sandusky, eight grandchildren, Andrea, Andy, Carissa, Donte, Dakota, Blaine, Aysia and Curtis Jr..

Sharon is also survived by three brothers, Dave (Bunny) Bucher of Upper Sandusky, Ron (Pat) Bucher of Upper Sandusky, and Gilbert (Laura) Bucher Jr. of Nevada, two sisters, Kim (Gary) Tyo of Mt. Gilead, Ohio, and Sharon (Rick) Gunder of Mansfield, Ohio.

Sharon graduated from Nevada High School in 1960 and in 1961 she attended, and graduated from, the Marion Beauty Academy where she became a liscenced beautician. She worked at the Cottage Beauty Shop for four years. She then worked at Dave's Place in Nevada, where she helped her brother Dave and then later drove for Head Start Program in Wyandot County.

Sharon enjoyed spending time with her family as well as doing various types of puzzles, playing FreeCell, collecting recipes, growing flowers, line dancing, camping at Sunset Springs and visiting with friends and neighbors.

It was Sharon's wish to be cremated with no memorial services.
