Scott D. Linhart, age 59, of Upper Sandusky, passed away on Saturday, August 13, 2022, at Ohio State University Medical Center surrounded by his family after a short fight with cancer.
Scott was born on July 8, 1963, in Canton, Ohio, to Walter and Sylvia Sue (Shaw) Linhart. Scott was married to Tammy Bert on August 2, 1986, in Alliance, Ohio, and she survives in Upper Sandusky. They just celebrated their 36th wedding anniversary.
Scott is also survived by his 3 children: Nikki (Steve) Doseck of Grand Rapids, Ohio, Marissa (Kevan) Green of Delaware, Brandon (Nicole Reichard) Linhart of Newbury, 3 grandchildren: Cooper, Skylar, and Owen. Scott is also survived by his father Walter (Joann) Linhart of Alliance, his brother Mike (Trisha) Linhart of Salem, and his sister Beth (Tim) Abraham of Canfield.
Scott was preceded in death by his mother Sylvia Sue Linhart.
Scott graduated from Marlington High School in 1981 and then went on to attend Mount Union College in Alliance, Ohio where he received his Bachelor's degree in business. For over 20 years, he worked at Worthington Industries in Upper Sandusky before his most recent career at SumiRiko, where he was Vice President of Materials.
Scott was a member of John Stewart United Methodist Church in Upper Sandusky.
Scott enjoyed going camping and going on family vacations to Hilton Head. He also enjoyed coaching his kid's sports teams while they were growing up and if not coaching, he was very involved in their sporting events. Above all else, Scott valued his family more than anything. He loved spending time with his wife, kids and grandkids. Scott loved gardening, especially caring for his tomato plants, collecting antiques, going to auctions, and garage sales.
A memorial service for Scott will be held at 6:00 pm on Saturday, August 20th, at Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky, and will be officiated by Pastor Doug Pummell.
Visitations will be held from 2:00 – 6:00 pm on Saturday at the funeral home prior to the service.
