Sandra (Sandy) Kay Nuetzel

Sandra "Sandy" Kay Nuetzel, age 69, of Upper Sandusky, Ohio, died on Wednesday, May 1, 2013 at 2:34 AM at Fairhaven Community in Upper Sandusky, Ohio after complications from open heart surgery.

Sandy was born on March 26, 1944 in Bucyrus, Ohio to Lester D. and Bessie Mae (Jackson) Ralph, both of whom are deceased. She married Ned Nuetzel on October 21, 1977 and he preceded her in death.

Sandy is survived by a brother in law, Bruce Holloway of Westerville, Ohio and many nieces and nephews, along with great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, a brother, General John Ralph, and a sister Lillian Ann Holloway.

Sandy graduated from Bucyrus High School class of 1961.

Sandy was a retired Registered Nurse having worked at Marion General Hospital for many years.

Sandy attended the Apostolic Gospel Church in Upper Sandusky and some of her passions in life included enjoying all kinds of music, art, whether drawing or painting and she had a special affection for animals. Sandy was an avid follower of Buckeye football and enjoyed following Chicago Cubs baseball with Ned. Her favorite TV show was NCIS.

Sandy had a deep faith for her Lord and it was evident in her love for others, especially all those in her last years that she met at Fairhaven. She will be greatly missed.

A Memorial Service for Sandra Kay Nuetzel, will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, May 18, 2013 at the Fairhaven Chapel in Upper Sandusky with the Rev. Mary Curtis officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions may be made to the Fairhaven Community in care of the Lucas-Batton Funeral Home 476 S. Sandusky Ave. Upper Sandusky, Ohio 43351.
